Terms of Service
Last updated: June 28, 2025
1. The Basics
What is ManaLotus? ManaLotus is a website that helps Magic: The Gathering players manage their card collections, build decks, and see card prices. We're run by ManaLotus, LLC, based in Austin, Texas.
Who can use ManaLotus? You must be at least 13 years old to use ManaLotus. If you're under 18, make sure your parents approve.
How do you agree to these terms? By creating an account or using our site, you're agreeing to follow these rules. If you don't like these terms, please don't use ManaLotus.
2. Your Account
Creating an account: Give us accurate information when you sign up. Don't pretend to be someone else.
Keep your password safe: You're responsible for everything that happens with your account. Use a strong password and don't share it.
When we might close accounts: We can close accounts that break our rules, are inactive for a long time, or if we have to for legal reasons.
3. What You Can and Can't Do
The golden rule: Don't be a jerk.
You CAN:
• Manage your card collection
• Build and share decks
• Use our search and pricing features
• Be part of our community
You CAN'T:
• Harass other users
• Share inappropriate content
• Try to hack or break our site
• Use our site for anything illegal
• Spam or send unwanted messages
4. Your Stuff vs. Our Stuff
You own: Your collection data, deck lists, and account information.
We own: The ManaLotus website, our code, and our features.
Wizards of the Coast owns: All Magic: The Gathering cards, names, and images. We're just fans making tools for other fans.
Required legal language: "ManaLotus is unofficial Fan Content permitted under the Fan Content Policy. Not approved/endorsed by Wizards. Portions of the materials used are property of Wizards of the Coast. ©Wizards of the Coast LLC."
5. Sharing Decks and Content
When you make a deck public:
• Other users can see and copy your deck list
• You still own your deck, but you're letting us show it on our site
• Keep deck names and descriptions appropriate
Reporting problems: If someone shares something inappropriate, let us know and we'll take a look. For copyright issues, contact dmca@manalotus.com.
6. Pricing Information
Where our prices come from: We get pricing data from sites like TCGPlayer and other marketplaces through services like Scryfall and MTGJSON.
Why prices might be wrong: Card prices change constantly, our data might be delayed, and sometimes we make mistakes.
We're not financial advisors: We show you prices to help manage your collection, not to tell you what to buy or sell.
7. Paid Features
What costs money: We may gate some features of our tools behind subscriptions. You'll be shown the exact price and billing schedule when you subscribe.
How billing works: Subscriptions automatically renew each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime in your account settings.
Refunds: We'll work with you if there's a billing mistake, but generally sales are final.
8. When Things Go Wrong
We try our best, but:
• Sometimes our site goes down
• Data might be lost or corrupted
• Features might not work perfectly
What we're responsible for: Not much, legally speaking. We provide ManaLotus "as is" and can't guarantee it'll be perfect.
Texas law applies: If we end up in court, Texas law governs these terms and courts in Travis County, Texas will handle disputes.
9. Ending the Relationship
How to delete your account: Go to your account settings and click "Delete Account." This permanently deletes your data.
What happens to your data: When you delete your account, we permanently delete your collection and deck data. Public decks you shared might stay up unless you specifically ask us to remove them.
Some rules survive: Even after you leave, you're still responsible for anything you did while you had an account.
10. Boring But Important Legal Stuff
Contact us: Email us at legal@manalotus.com with questions about these terms.
We might change these terms: If we make big changes, we'll email you and post the new terms on our site. Keep using ManaLotus after changes means you agree to the new terms.
If part of this breaks: If a court says part of these terms is invalid, the rest still applies.
The whole agreement: These terms, plus our Privacy Policy, are the complete agreement between us.
